Under the federal and state constitutions, all individuals charged with a criminal offense for which punishment includes the possibility of imprisonment have the right to have their guilt or innocence decided by a jury. I can help you decide if a jury trial is the best option, but the decision of whether to go to trial or not is ultimately your decision. Once trial begins, I will do my best to pick a jury that will hold the prosecution to their burden of proving each element of the crime beyond a reasonable doubt. I will then use all of my legal training and knowledge to convince this jury to return a verdict of not guilty. When pretrial motions to dismiss or suppress evidence have been unsuccessful, we can take your case to trial. When pretrial negotiations with the prosecutor have been unsuccessful, we can take your case to trial. When pleading guilty to any criminal offense is simply not an option, we can take your case to trial.
